This wax painting was a present for my Nanas church. I feel like using rubber stamps is cheating, but I liked the results anyhow.
Get it? Rush? Cos theres bullrushes? Oh fine, my word play is terrible. I’ll just go sit in the corner and try to find inner peace instead then shall I? :p
Happy Earth Day! Someone please tell me the proper word for the habitat that is kinda swampy but has loads of beautiful flowers. “Swampy Meadow” can’t be a real thing but I have a horrible feeling the word I’m looking for might be “bog”. Its not bog is it?
Its such a beautiful day today! This bird is something of a cross between a blackbird and a magpie. Blackpie? Magbird? Whatever its name is its taking a break before joining its friends for a glide. Drawn for a friend who helped me out with proofreading 🙂
Somewhere, a bird watcher just got this joke 🙂 If it is you, give yourself a cup of tea!
The European Bee Eater bird looks perpetually grumpy. Maybe eating bees all day does that. Where as the European Chocolate Eater bird is a lot more cheerful.
Bear on Turtle. Rooster on Bear. Mouse on Rooster. Earth on Mouse. You on Earth.
The magpie gets a pretty bad image in western culture, but in China it’s name means “bird of joy”.
A year today since I began this blog! Happy blog-aversary!
